Prof.dr. Hans van Duijn

Rector Magnificus of Eindhoven University of Technology

In 2005 prof.dr. Hans van Duijn, rector of Eindhoven University of Technology, signed the Berlin Declaration on Open Access. He did so because "Much of our information is acquired by public money, so it should be open and accessible world-wide."

With regard to Open Access Eindhoven University of Technology follows the green road, Hans van Duijn explains. At the end of the interview he underlines that research results don't only comprise publications, but research data as well. "By way of the 3TU.Datacentrum (a joint initiative of the universities of Delft, Eindhoven and Twente), Eindhoven University of Technology is working on Open Access to research data", says Hans van Duijn.
