It is the task of universities to make clear to the public what the value is of the research they have carried out with the taxpayer’s money. You can’t do that by just publishing in journals that are not open to everyone.

Results of the SOAP Survey - The Dutch Situation

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

In the SOAP Symposium on 13 January 2011 in Berlin, the results of the SOAP Survey were made publicly available. A few weeks later the full data was made free available online (under a CC0 waiver), including the SOAP Survey Release Notes. A first overview of these results, tailored to the situation in the Netherlands, can be found in this document.

This overview was made by SURFfoundation. The questions answered from the data were selected by Marnix van Berchum and Annemiek van der Kuil. The selection should be considered as a first attempt to analyse the SOAP data for the Dutch situation. Further analysis could include different questions, and comparisons with other countries.

We would like to invite everybody to make use of the SOAP data, to make own analyses. Please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for questions.
