Open Science Conference Amsterdam

Improving open access for scientific publications and the best possible re-use of research data is a key priority of the Dutch government. The Dutch EU Presidency pays special attention to this subject as well. That is why the open science conference will be organized in the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam on April 4-5.

The Netherlands is committed to accelerate the transition from the traditional publication model to open science. European collaboration can make this happen. After all, in science more and more interdisciplinary research and international collaboration takes place.

Open science aims on a system that openly distributes results of scientific research, without financial or copyright limitations . This is of great value to science.

Invitees for the conference will include politicians, researchers, representatives of universities and research organizations; scientific publishers will attend as well. At this conference, member states and stakeholders will launch the Open Science Policy Platform and draft a joint action agenda.

Access to this conference is mainly on invitation. There are a limited number of spaces available, for which you can register. More information can be found on this website. You can follow the conference via livestream.
