Taylor & Francis publication limit for 2025 reached
The annual quota under the agreement with Taylor & Francis has been reached. If your manuscript is accepted for publication in a journal covered by the publisher deal between the cap being reached and 1 January 2026, the publisher will still offer open access publication for your article. However, the consortium agreement will no longer cover the Article Processing Charges (APC) and you will receive an invoice.
Authors whose articles have already been accepted and are awaiting publication, but who lack the funds to pay the APCs, may consider publishing under traditional subscription based (‘closed access’) and then making use of the Taverne Amendment to share their article publicly in their institutional repository after a six-month embargo period
If you’re currently preparing your manuscript:
- If you are funded by a cOAlition S organization, consider using the Rights Retention Strategy early in the submission stage
- Consider publishing in Diamond Open Access Journals.
A new Open Access quota will be available as of 1 January 2026 for articles accepted by Taylor & Francis.
