Transparency to Sustain Open Science Infrastructure (TSOSI)

join us

Transparency to Sustain Open Science Infrastructure (TSOSI) is a platform that makes financial support for open science infrastructure visible and accessible. By highlighting organizations that fund open infrastructure, TSOSI encourages broader participation and helps make such contributions the norm.

Launched in September 2024 with support from the French Committee for Open Science and led by Université Grenoble Alpes, TSOSI is built on a simple idea: when organizations can see who is funding open science, the decision to contribute becomes easier.

TSOSI takes a data-driven approach, collecting and organizing open data on who funds what, including funder, recipient, amount and date. These records reflect real choices aligned with open science values.

TSOSI is fully open, its data is accessible via API and its software is available on GitHub. It collaborates with initiatives like SCOSS, Invest in Open and is informed by principles such as the Declaration of Barcelona and Open Scholarly Infrastructure.
